Elemental- book review

This book I'm reviewing is called Elemental (the Elementals: an urban fantasy witch series. Book one) By: Kelbian Noel. I loved this book! Even though it was talking about witches, which has been a popular theme for years, this is done in a totally new and unique way. I loved the names since they were unique and ones you will not forget after reading. The main character is totally relatable as well. She is a "normal" teen who endures bullying, name calling, being embarrassed of your family and coming to terms with who you are and not who you have been trying to be.

The main character is Baltimore Land, a teenage girl who is so relatable you will find yourself getting lost and absorbed into her story. She has family drama, boy drama, and social drama just like every other teenager everywhere. She ends up dating the town hottie, which unfortunately didn't help her gain popularity since her witch family is already outcasted, but instead of getting beat down she rose to the occasion. When everything in her life gets flipped around, she is forced to come to terms with who she truly is... a member of the Land clan.

The only critical things I found wrong with this book were spelling errors in the beginning of the story. Other than that I can honestly say that I have not read a book the pulled me in so much in such a long time! I wish that I didn't have to wait for the rest of this series to come out. Not only do I find this book amazing, the author Kelbian Noel published this herself. I wish all authors had as much faith in their amazing story's and didn't "sit on them" and some publishing houses would tell them to do. I did not want to go into much detail about the plot as I felt it would give it away and ruin some fun parts for you, all I can say is you really should read it yourself.

Everyone should do themselves a favor and go get this book! If not for mom duties, cooking and entertaining family for thanksgiving, this book would have been finished in one day. I cannot wait to see how the rest of the Elementals develop in the coming books. All in all, I feel a big WELL DONE! is in order to Kelbian Noel for this fresh take on a story.

This book was gifted to me in consideration of a review by the author. In no way was this review or my opinion paid for. This was just a book i truly enjoyed.

E-reader vs Physical book

A question I get from friends quite a bit is, "do you prefer a physical copy of a book or reading on an e-reader?" I'm not gonna lie, this is a really hard question to answer! Some times you just cant beat curling up with a good book in your hands and getting lost in the pages. On the other hand I can take an e-reader where ever I go and have a ton of variety on it.

I personally have a second generation Kindle and I love it. While I was still going to college I had some of my textbooks on it, various genre of books, music and it even had an experimental Internet on it. It lets me highlight, bookmark and even take notes which is extremely handy when I'm doing reviews. Not to mention the books are a lot cheaper as well!

On the other hand, sometimes I really miss just holding my favorite book in my hands when I'm reading. Nothing can beat that feeling in my opinion! I guess it really just depends on my mood or which book I feel like reading that day.

Either way, I just love reading. It does not mater what form it comes in, there is nothing like getting completely lost in a book and not being able to put it down. I'm so proud that my one year old also has a love for books. His new favorite thing is to curl up in my lap as we read one of his books. I really hope you guys know the love of reading like I do!

Coffee Mate creamer

So today I want to talk about something I love. That is coffee creamer. I can not drink coffee straight black, I have to add cream/milk and sugar... I like light tan coffee ha ha! Last night my hubby, son, and I were at target picking up a few items and we saw this new creamer. We normally get the vanilla and hazelnut kinds, but this time they had vanilla latte and hazelnut latte and oh my goodness are they delicious! It was such a nice change from the normal ones we use.

I was never a big coffee drinker until about three or four months after my son was born, and my job had me arriving at 4:45 am Mon-Fri. Pretty hard task considering I had a new baby at home! My husband was amazing though and would get up with him during the night also since he went into work later than I did. So as you can probably tell coffee became my best friend. To be honest I didn't even like the taste of coffee! I love the smell but it was just kinda, blah, ya know? Once I found some delicious creamer I began to actually enjoy it though.

The creamer I got was $1.99 each for the liquid ones. The powder kinds are more expensive just so you know. I'm not saying all of your Targets will be the same price but I suggest you try it if you like coffee or are looking for something new.

What is your favorite thing to add to your coffee? What about your favorite drink during the holidays? Let me know below or send a message!

Previous reviews

Well I am sorry to say that the last TWO reviews I posted had to be removed! The publishers pulled one from publication and the last was the author unsatisfied with their work. CRAZY! Not the best way to have my new page beginning ha ha. I do apologize though. More reviews coming up soon though, I promise. Please email me or comment below and let me know of any books, makeup or anything else you think i should check out and review. I cannot believe how many emails I have received for requests already!

One of my next posts will be on The Hunger Games by: Suzanne Collins. This is actually a hard review for me to write to be honest! I cant stand reading a review before I have read the book and they ruin the whole thing for you. So, I am trying to skirt around it as much as possible for those of you who have requested it.

I have also been requested to see some of my own writing, so I think that I may post some poetry or short stories here and there. Thank you guys for the support I have received and requests I have been getting!

Hey everyone! Welcome to my new review page!  Here is a little over view of what I do... I am sent books and advanced copies of books for review and I want to be able to share these amazing things with you as well! I am a huge reader so this will be updated pretty frequently.

Not only do I love books, I have a huge love for makeup! When I buy products (makeup or not) I will put a review up on my findings. I do not accept money to sway my thoughts on a product, so have no fear there! My first review will be on a few books I have read recently and will be up soon.

If you have anything you think I should see or read leave me a comment below! Also, no form of bullying will be tolerated. Do not call other users names or use any form of threatening language. You WILL be banned and those comments will be deleted. This should be a safe place to share our thoughts and opinions.
