This book I'm reviewing is called Elemental (the Elementals: an urban fantasy witch series. Book one) By: Kelbian Noel. I loved this book! Even though it was talking about witches, which has been a popular theme for years, this is done in a totally new and unique way. I loved the names since they were unique and ones you will not forget after reading. The main character is totally relatable as well. She is a "normal" teen who endures bullying, name calling, being embarrassed of your family and coming to terms with who you are and not who you have been trying to be.
The main character is Baltimore Land, a teenage girl who is so relatable you will find yourself getting lost and absorbed into her story. She has family drama, boy drama, and social drama just like every other teenager everywhere. She ends up dating the town hottie, which unfortunately didn't help her gain popularity since her witch family is already outcasted, but instead of getting beat down she rose to the occasion. When everything in her life gets flipped around, she is forced to come to terms with who she truly is... a member of the Land clan.
The only critical things I found wrong with this book were spelling errors in the beginning of the story. Other than that I can honestly say that I have not read a book the pulled me in so much in such a long time! I wish that I didn't have to wait for the rest of this series to come out. Not only do I find this book amazing, the author Kelbian Noel published this herself. I wish all authors had as much faith in their amazing story's and didn't "sit on them" and some publishing houses would tell them to do. I did not want to go into much detail about the plot as I felt it would give it away and ruin some fun parts for you, all I can say is you really should read it yourself.
Everyone should do themselves a favor and go get this book! If not for mom duties, cooking and entertaining family for thanksgiving, this book would have been finished in one day. I cannot wait to see how the rest of the Elementals develop in the coming books. All in all, I feel a big WELL DONE! is in order to Kelbian Noel for this fresh take on a story.
This book was gifted to me in consideration of a review by the author. In no way was this review or my opinion paid for. This was just a book i truly enjoyed.
